There are two phases to the Jemstep Advisor Pro client experience:
In the first phase, the investor creates their investment profile, adds their current accounts and compares their current portfolio to the mapped target portfolio. Here the investor can add multiple accounts at multiple financial institutions in their profile using our embedded aggregation tool.
In the second phase, the investor starts the Enrollment process where they will open new accounts at TD Ameritrade. TD Ameritrade will open one account per type and owner. For example, when the investor owns a brokerage account and an IRA, TD Ameritrade will open a new brokerage and a new IRA. When the investor owns two separate brokerage accounts, TD Ameritrade will create one brokerage account and consolidate the brokerage account assets into the one, new brokerage account. When the investor owns a brokerage account (single owner) and a second, joint brokerage account, TD Ameritrade will open two brokerage accounts, one single owner brokerage account and another multiple owner brokerage account.
