The below data points can be collected from the Partner as soon as the on-boarding begins. They may collaborate with their Pershing rep to provide the right information that would correspond to their digital business. Once we have this information on hand. Proceed to step 2 to ask for relevant questions about their existing business.
- IBD code : Introducing Broker Dealer: Only Broker Dealer (BD) firms can custody with Pershing LLC. All the RIA's/Advisors under that BD will then automatically custody their assets through that BD with Pershing. That BD then has a code that is unique to them and will be used by all the firms under them.
- Office range: Existing or a new one for digital business: All the RIA's/Advisors under that BD can have a separate Office Range or the BD may create a digital office range that can be used by all the RIA's/Advisors.
IP number : Investment professional: The RIA firm may have one IP number or multiple IP numbers. If a BD has created a separate digital office range that will be used by all the firms under them, then the IP number is what will distinguish the data that comes in for each firm.
