Investor is directed to https://ria.jemstep.com/signup from your marketing page.
They sign up by entering their first name, last name, email address and password, directly into the signup form. Investor receives a welcome email.

Post sign up, investor is taken to their "Profile Info" page. The Profile Info page contains three sections:
- Your Profile
- Your Finances
- Your Investment Preferences
Section one (Profile), captures the investor’s age, retirement age, gender and ZIP code.
Section two (Finances), captures the gross annual income and annual retirement savings. System automatically calculates their expected Social Security benefits (editable).
Section three (Investment Preferences), investor is asked to select the risk, reward option that is most comfortable to them.

The next step is for account aggregation. Account aggregation is provided by CashEdge, a FISERV company (https://www.fiserv.com/about/brands/cashedge.aspx).
Investor can either link their accounts or, Skip aggregation & open account

Step three; investor is taken to the "Analysis" page. The Analysis page shows 3 charts:
- First is a line chart showing current allocation, compared to a specific, mapped target allocation.
- The next chart compares the impact of fees on the total returns of both allocations over
the next 20 years.
- The third chart (or table) details the investor’s current allocation, compared to her
mapped target allocation. The investor can see the broad asset class categories and a
detailed asset class breakdown

Once the investor clicks on ‘Get Started’ a new process begins, the enrollment process. Here the systems will ACAT the accounts that are linked to the user profile or they can choose to ACH the funds from their bank account.
To perform an ACH, the investor would select the "Fund an Account" option to be able to enter their banking information.
Jemstep Advisor Pro supports the following account types:
-Individual Taxable Brokerage
-Joint Taxable Brokerage
-Cash (Savings, Checking)
-401k rollovers may be opened manually in DocuSign. Account transfer is usually a form that the user has to obtain from their employer or more likely the 401k record-keeper.
-Trust accounts may be opened and transferred manually in DocuSign.
401k rollover and trust accounts are placed in the "Linked accounts excluded from management" management.

Once the investor fills up the enrolment forms they are then taken to "Dashboard" page. At this time they will also receive the docusign envelope in their email Inbox. The dashboard page changes when accounts are opened and funded.

Investor receives a DocuSign email from the Advisory firm. When they click on the email, they are taken to DocuSign's "Security Verification" page.
The enrollment envelop contains:
- Advisor Agreement
- Form ADV 2 document
-TD Ameritrade Disclosure Packet
-TD Ameritrade Account Application form (for each kind of account)
-TD Ameritrade Account Transfer form (for each individual account)
Once the user signs the envelope and submits it, TD Ameritrade starts the account opening process. TD Ameritrade performs a "Transfer in Kind" from the user's funding account(s). The account opening process takes anywhere between five and fifteen days.
Once the accounts are transferred and the Advisor executes the trades, investor Dashboard and Portfolio pages update to reflect the newly opened accounts. The “Enrollment Status" widget steps all receive a green completion tick and will then disappear the next time the investor logs into their account.
